I felt a sense of achievement after making a decision about an opportunity for my business. You can read more in this week's article. We all have to make many decisions and in the fast pace of today's world these need to be made quickly and accurately. Not only that but if the decisions are being made about problems, you need to be sure that you get to the source of the problem first and not just make a decision based on the symptoms. If you only deal with the symptoms you could easily find yourself back at the same place sooner or later. I've seen this happen to too many businesses and it saddens me. So, if your business is ready to get to the source of it's problems, enabling you to make powerful decisions from there, then send me an email and find out how I can help you. wendy@business-personal-coaching.com

Decisions, decisions, decisions! Every day we're faced with making lots of them. Some are fairly small, such as choosing what to eat and what clothes to wear. Others are larger with the impact on us being much greater. Usually the bigger the decision, the more time, thought and energy we put into it. We don't usually spend the same amount of time and go through the same process when choosing what movie we want to watch, compared to moving house or a large business deal. Whilst I appreciate that for some people even making a decision over a movie is difficult, usually the bigger the decision, the more complex we make it. There's the tendency to think it through and analyse it to death. Although we need the data and information in order to make an informed decision, we don't need to agonise over it as much as we often do. There is a much simpler and more powerful way of making decisions, and that's to use your intuition. Now if you immediately say you don't have any intuition or you can't rely on it, just bear with me. It's only fear that's stopping you from seeing how powerful you are. Everybody has intuition but it depends how much they believe they have it and how often they exercise it. Intuition is like a muscle and the more it's exercised, the stronger it becomes. For those of you who are reading this and want data to base decisions on, that's fine, because even with your intuition, some data is needed. Recently I've been faced with making a major decision about my business because of an opportunity that was presented to me. In so many ways, it was the perfect opportunity. It was what I'd been saying I wanted to do; it fitted in with my vision, so what was holding me back? I knew I wasn't feeling a resounding 'yes' and this could so easily have been due to fear. I knew at times there was fear, which was only to be expected because this opportunity would have taken me out of my comfort zone. So, was it fear that was stopping me, or deep down in my heart and intuition did I know this wasn't for me? After finding out all the information I needed and being sure I didn't need anything else, I still didn't have the clarity to make the decision and say 'yes' or 'no'. Time then for the next step and a simple one at that. Turn it over to my subconscious to work on and then listen to my intuition. Because I needed to be sure that my mind wasn't getting in the way, I chose to turn it over to my subconscious while I was asleep. The data was already there, so just as I was falling asleep, I asked myself the question, "What is the best choice for me?" Then I spoke to my intuition and said "Okay, I'm turning this over to you for the answer". When I woke the next morning, I felt a very clear 'no' in my body. At first I was quite surprised by this because, based purely on logic, it should have been a 'yes'. As I was so sure that this was my intuition, 'no' was the decision I went with. Since then, I've felt lightness in my body and experienced no doubts. Your intuition is a very powerful tool for helping you to make decisions. First, you need to accept that you have intuition, then you need to find the best way for you to tap into it and find out how to hear it. It might be a feeling you have in a particular part of your body, a small voice that speaks to you, words that suddenly pop into your mind unbidden, or when you're doing something completely unrelated such as taking a shower, walking or listening to music etc. Lastly, you need to trust your intuition and take action based on it. When you do this and see that it was right, this builds your confidence to use your intuition more. Potentially, using your intuition saves a lot of time and energy that is often wasted trying to think through a decision.
Your intuition holds some very powerful answers and messages for you and I invite you to take the first step towards using your intuition more.
What is the delay in making them, costing you?
What will it take for you to use your intuition more?
