There are so many different techniques, tips and tools that can be used to improve your time management that many people seem to get lost in the choice. They either then don’t do anything about it at all, or choose a number of different one and don’t get to the stage of having really implemented them fully. It’s such a huge subject, that for many people it feels overwhelming. It doesn’t seem to be a simple and easy process. It can be a very simple process. The first part it to define a crystal clear vision that leaves you feeling inspired. This inspiration will cause you to be self-motivated. Have you ever noticed that when you feel really motivated yourself to do something, you really get on and do it. You can probably get the task done really well and completed very quickly. Your vision allows you to see clearly where you’re going, you’re inspired to take action and know what you need to focus on. Distractions are more easily dealt with. Time management becomes a thing of the past when you’re clearly focused on your vision and are self-motivated from that. Setting your intentions for the day as the day begins, gives you a clear outline for that day. You know where you’re going. But how do you what is the right intention for you to set each day. Are you just picking things out of the air that seems to be a good idea to focus on? Or do you really know that your intention for today will move you forward quickly. When your intention is set based on your vision, you will know that it’s important to you. Your self-motivation comes from your vision and an intention set on this will leave you raring to go and your self-motivation coming though naturally. This is a great time-saver. You will save time in the morning deciding what your intention is. You will save time during the day as you are focused on what you’re doing rather than spending time, even if it’s just for 30 seconds at a time wondering if this is the right thing to do, should I do something else. On of the biggest uses of time is the ‘work hard’ trap. When you’re working really hard, you often feel that you’re doing your best, doing as much as possible. Yet often working harder and harder consumes up so much time that you’re able to kid yourself that you couldn’t do anymore anyway. So much time is used here that isn’t necessarily productive in the long run and doesn’t always move you towards what you really want. When you choose your daily actions based on your vision, you’re not so likely to fall into the ‘work hard’ trap. When you come from your vision, there is one specific action that you can choose to take each day that will really have a large impact. This is a great time-save in itself. Instead of spending a day doing lots of things, those of which may well be skirting around and filling time, although most of us are very good at justifying this. You could save this time, having completed what is important to you in the day. Choosing this one action really focuses us and this one action may feel scary to take, just because it’s the most important step for you to take today. Most of us would prefer to keep ourselves busy and not really face up to this one action. Drawing from your vision, you’ll feel self-motivated, tae this one specific action and save yourself loads of time. When you know where you’re going you won’t waste so much time. You will know specifically want you need to focus on, and then see those things that are likely to get in the way. Although there are skills that can be learned to handle all of the other things, I also suggest that as a resourceful person, you know what you need to do to handle this now. When your vision is critically important to you, you will find a way. Read more articles . . .
